Before exercising my right to vote, I watched Facing the Giants first.

From the award-winning producers of FLYWHEEL comes a new, action-packed, family-friendly drama about a high school football coach who draws up a new game plan for his team and himself.

In his six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never had a winning season. Even the hope of a new season is squelched when the best player on his Shiloh Eagles decides to transfer schools. Clash of the Titans

Last April 9, after accompanying my girl in her check-up, we decided to make use of our movie birthday passes at SM City The Block. I am really not aware of what is the 'hottest' movie at the moment, so I let my girl decide. But like me, she is also caught off guard. Thus, we just decided to choose what seemed to be a blockbuster at that time, and it was 'The Clash of the Titans'.

The film is pretty well understood [even without subtitles]. Also, you need not review your mythology classes to fully understand the movie. But I'll bet you'll dig in to those myths after seeing it. We do.

Shall I recommend the movie? Hmmm, not really. The movie is not something that is worth the watch [at least not for me]. The movie is good [but not great]. I am giving it 3 out 5 stars.

This Christmas Break

One more day to toil and the rest is vacation! Hooray! I am really excited with Christmas vacation. It’s the time that I can do the things that I wanted to do but got no time. Well of course I won’t forget to have my peaceful communion with God. After which, I would really enjoy the rest of the vacation before it is finished.

In order to be fit after indulging with fatty foods this season, I will surely make room for exercise. I will be using my stationary bike for this purpose. I will be targeting more than 10 kilometers. Wish me luck then! Got to burn those fats!

For leisure, I will be watching tons of movies with my girl. She just called me now and asked me which movies I wanted to watch this vacation. She got a number of new and old stuffs downloaded by her colleague via Rapidshare Search Engine. I asked her to check first if the movie that she is about to copy is a clear one and is complete. Well, she comforted me and told me not to worry for the said search engine is a very reliable one. And the list is updated religiously.

2012 at SM North EDSA, Cinema 7

Last night, I got the chance to watch 2012 in the Big Screen courtesy of my girl's brother.

I've seen the poster of this movie months ago, even during the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last July. So I guess this one's a much awaited movie. We watched it at SM North EDSA Cinema 7, free seating.

I don't wanna be a spoiler for those who haven't seen the movie yet. I just wanted to share my opinion. Production-wise, effects-wise, the movie is brilliantly made. But story-wise, I believe it has its flaws and glitches. The movie already ended but it kept me hanging or rather disappointed on the outcome.

Trinoma Digital 3D Cinema

Three days after my birthday, I had been able to watch Ice Age 3 in digital 3D format at Trinoma together with the love of my life and her family.

The size of the cinema is of normal size as any other. It was only the film that had been transformed into digital 3D; hence, you need to have a special eyeglasses to appreciate 3D. With that technology, the normal PhP170 movie tickets are now PhP300. I cannot 100% attest that it is fair. I do enjoy the movie, but there is something missing in the feel of 3D experience (as compared to IMAX at the Mall of Asia). It is because of the size of the screen. Here at Trinoma Digital 3D Cinema, the screen is a bit small, making you see the other persons in the movie house. Unlike in IMAX, the screen is large enough that it feels like you are really PART of the movie, itself.

If you haven't experienced watching movies in digital 3D format, I suggest you first watch at Trinoma or SM Digital 3D Cinemas for you to appreciate the experience. Otherwise, I'd better watch in IMAX at MOA or SM North EDSA for the best 3D experience. Anyway, it is only a hundred more in terms of ticket price.
