Nail Files, SM Center Pulilan

Every once in a while, amid your busy days, you should not forget to treat yourself.  This way, you won't feel burdened in everything that you are doing.  Yes, I also believe in the delayed gratification.  However, too much delay might cause stress, so there, just my 2 cents.

When I was still in my younger years, early 20s, I love pampering myself.  But now that I have my own family, it comes last to my priorities.  I know we have different prerogatives, but for me, my needs wants comes the least.

Anyhoo, last January 2018, my daughter and I pampered ourselves at Nail Files the Hand and Foot Spa at SM Center Pulilan.  Originally, we were supposed to have our foot spa at Nails dot Glow; unfortunately, they won't accept us as it is an hour or so before closing.  Uhm, yes, I got a bit irritated by that rejection as they don't have any cut off time posted.  I just felt that they just don't want to accept any more clients as they were already getting ready to close.  Fortunately, Nail Files accepted us with open hands.  They, the staff, don't bother if it is already closed to closing as long as they are still open, they will still welcome you.

With my daughter
Pamper time

Ambiance and Service.  It is still new at that time, though they are still developing some more rooms for their services, I can say that they have the relaxing ambiance - lights and music.  And the privacy you need, I guess you can achieve it more here than the other spas.  The couches were not put up too close to each other.  And undoubtedly, their service is excellent too.  They know how to treat customers.  And I'm happy.

Value for Money.  I don't know their current rates but at that time, they were a bit pricey compared to Nails dot Glow.  But, if you will get the satisfactory service, it is worth the price.

My daughter
I don't have the beautiful feet to brag, my daughter has :)
white and pinkish glow
Given a chance to be pampered again, I will surely choose Nail Files over Nails dot Glow even they are much pricey.  I am after the service and satisfaction anyway.

Burgoo American Bar and Restaurant

Burgoo American Bar and Restaurant is our favorite restaurant way back before we decided to tie the knot and build our own family.  We had dined on a number of their branches:
  • Gateway Mall - our very first taste of Burgoo right after my hubby's Japan trip
  • The Block, SM North EDSA
  • Timog Avenue
  • SM Mall of Asia
It just shows one thing - it is really our favorite.
Burgoo has an American casual dining concept.  The history of this first stew originated in Kentucky, USA. During the 17th century, Burgoo was prepared mixing different meat that includes goat, squirrel, deer or any other game caught during the day and different vegetables, herbs and spices. At that time, Burgoo took all of 20-30 hours to prepare and cook. Their version is somewhat similar except now it cooks faster than the original using top choice of beef, pork and poultry. They guarantee you to the top quality of this extra ordinary dish.
Ambiance.  If you want to eat and have a good rest at the same time, this restaurant is the one for you.

My daughter busy drawing and coloring
I remember a time, my daughter and I was left at Gateway while my hubby is out to Odeon Mall to buy some raw materials for our online business.  My daughter then fall asleep and I had a heavy bag to lift as well.  My resort is to dine in at their branch at Burgoo - where I can eat and relax at the same time.  And I was not disappointed at all.

It is a quiet place with a relaxing ambiance where the kids and the kids at heart can doodle on a large sheet of paper placed on top of your table using the crayons they provided.  They also sometimes provide coloring pages for children.

Food vs Price.  My prerogative is, when it comes to food, I should not deprive myself.  So yes, although it may seem a bit pricey - I would still have to reward myself with their good food once in a while.  Their best seller, indeed, is a must try - Seafood Jambalaya.  Some of those that we had tried and passed our taste buds are:
  • Seafood Ceasar Supreme Salad
  • Seafood Linguini - I believe my to-go pasta here is Seafood Marinara, not sure why it is not in their Menu List
  • Seafood Jambalaya
  • Shrimp and Ribs Platter
We also avail sometimes their bottomless soda; and seldom, their watermelon shake.

In the last few dine-in that we had, we order Seafood Jambalaya (with Chicken), and it is already sufficient - we even have some leftovers our next meal.

They normally have promo with their partner credit cards, so before you order, make sure to ask for the current promos.  Also, they usually give coupons for your next visit, might as well take advantage of it.

Service.  I had no problem with their service, no matter which branch we dine in.  I guess they do invest as well with their staff to provide excellent service to customers.

Definitely, one of the things we would love to visit after this pandemic is all over.

Summit Hotel Magnolia, Quezon City

To celebrate my brother's birthday last December 2017, we dine in at Buffet 101 at Robinsons Magnolia.  At the same time, we check-in at Summit Hotel Magnolia to spend the night there.

At Buffet 101
As the third hotel property under the Summit Hotels collection, Summit Hotel Magnolia is a unique boutique hotel that showcase functional design starting from its elegant lobby, common areas to its stylish rooms and themed suites. It is conveniently located within the Robinsons Magnolia mall complex.

Each of the 82 rooms are wonderfully spacious, designed to be relaxing and outfitted with stylish interiors, luxe furniture and vibrant artworks. Rooms feature upscale amenities like a 42-inch flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi access, premium bath products and high-quality linens.
Location.  Its location is really a big plus for us.  It is at the center of among our top suppliers of our online business.  I remember we were able to even book a lalamove delivery from Cavite to Summit Hotel Magnolia on that day.  It is located at Doña Hemady Street corner Aurora Boulevard, New Manila, Quezon City, 1111 Metro Manila.
How to get there:
  • Via Aurora Blvd.: Stay on the westward bound lane of Aurora Blvd. heading towards the general direction of Malacañang. Hotel will be situated inside Robinsons Magnolia Mall complex along the corner of Aurora Blvd. and Hemady Street.
  • Via Greenhills, Ortigas: On the northbound lane of Ortigas Ave. Extension towards the general direction of Quezon City, turn right at N. Domingo St. and an immediate left at Dona Hemady Street.
Parking.  Parking is not a problem since it shares parking for the mall.  Although there are designated slots for hotel guests, I think if ever these slots are already full, they can allow you to park on any open slots of the mall's parking.

Accommodation.  We stayed at their Deluxe Twin Room that has the following features:
  • Rooms are 30.09 sqm in size, each with twin-sized beds
  • Room capacity: 2 adults and 2 kids
  • High quality bed linens and duvet covers
  • Ultra-soft, non-allergenic pillows
  • Premium bath toiletries
  • Hot and cold super shower
  • Coffee and tea making facility
  • Hairdryer
  • Vanity mirror
  • Complimentary bottled water
  • Personal refrigerator
  • 42-inch flat screen TV (with HDMI and USD ports and premium cable channels)
  • Executive work desk
  • Desk-level electrical outlet
  • RFID proximity card and lock system
  • In-room safe
  • In-room telephone for room to room calls only - You can actually make an outside call (within Manila only), but you have to course it through the operator.
  • Wireless internet access
  • Individually controlled air-conditioning
  • Hanging closet
  • Iron and ironing board**
  • PWD friendly room and bath**
  • Free use of baby crib**
  • **Available upon request
Indeed, it was a comfortable stay.  We have their plated breakfast, but would rather have it sliced off from our accommodation.

Plated Breakfast
Since it has access to the mall, you can purchase freshly cooked Filipino food at their food court as early as 9:00 AM.

Rates.  As for the rates, I think they have partnership with Citibank, hence you can have at most 50% discounted rate on specific months of the year.  Also, make sure to use your Robinsons Rewards Card to get the reward points.   Just make sure that the registered name is same as the cardholder to make the points count.

Amenities.  As for their amenities, it was a plus that they have access to Robinsons Magnolia.  Unfortunately, they do not have swimming pool.  It is really for staycation.

Hacienda Galea Resort and Events Place, Baliuag, Bulacan

One of the perks of owning a small business is, you get to expand your network and discover new places.  Being one of our clients, we were able to know about the newly opened resort nearby, the Hacienda Galea Resort and Events Place last March 2018 - where we celebrate my daughter's birthday.
Hacienda Galea Resort and Events is a small nice family owned and family operated resort located in Brgy Pinagbarilan Baliuag Bulacan. It is located 1 km away from SM City Baliuag. St. Augustine Parish & Baliuag Town Proper are also within 3km.

Hacienda Galea Resort is complimented by a fully air-conditioned Function Hall that can accommodate up to a large group of 200 persons perfect for any parties and events. Our Hotel also has the capacity of 17 rooms from Superior Suite to Family Rooms. To complete your experience, three spectacular swimming pools sit in our gorgeously landscaped gardens with pristine waters are ready to be disturbed to sweep away your stress and to bring comfort to your stay and adjacent to these are our well-groomed cottages for your shelter nearby. Our Pool Grounds can hold a maximum number of 500 persons boasting its 1.5 meter deep adult swimming pool and kiddie pool with water playground for kids to enjoy. We also have facilities and amenities more than the basic such as Restaurant, Cafe & Beverage Bar, Grilling Stations, Videoke, and spacious parking area. Finally, it is also the best time to experience a tour to our famous replica of Netherlands Windmill surrounded with landscape of flowers, designed gently enough to enjoy your stay.
Location.  Though it is near our place, the road going to the resort is a bit narrow.  But, the travel is worth it once you reach the place.

Resort.  Since it is newly (soft) opened, there are still some rooms for improvement.  Since the place is near the field (farm), a lot of insects can be seen afloat the pool at a certain time (specially at night).

Hotel.  The very thing that we really want to comment on this is their bathroom floor which is of the same level as the room.  Given this, the water from the bathroom comes out toward the bedroom.  Also, the room does not have TV.

Service.  As far as service is concerned, I can say that they are of quality service.  They tell you honestly what can and cannot be done in their place.  We even have our Jollibee ordered via delivery by them.  And yes, their staff would also not hesitate to take photo for you.

Maintenance.  Despite the insects, at least their staff tediously clean the pool.  And you can see that their staff would attend to any maintenance work that should be done to keep their place clean.

Rates.  They almost always have a promo, so for the latest rates, visit their Facebook Page.

Ambika Kid'z Fun Box, SM Center Pulilan

When SM Center Pulilan opened last December 2017, we were so glad as it is very close to our place - a15-minute ride without the traffic.  Knowing that SM Center also has National Bookstore is an added pleasure as it is one of our main source of raw materials for our online business.  On top of that, a new children's indoor playground is now available - the Ambika Kid'z Fun Box.

While it - the Ambika - is still fresh, we took the chance to explore it.

Rates.  Unfortunately, I am unable to recall the rates - and I can't find it anywhere in the internet too.  I can't even find their website; and, their Facebook Fan Page is not updated.  But I know that it is worth it.  They have the unlimited rate where you can play all day.  The shortest I believe is 30 minutes.  I bet it ain't enough as children are only starting to have fun after this time.  For us, one to two hours is already sufficient.

Requirements.  Unlike other indoor playground, a companion is required for every kid.  I think this one is better, as you have to create as much bonding memories with your child as possible.  But why not?  There is a kid in everyone of us.  I'd bet you'll enjoy the ball pit and the slide.  Socks is also required; hence, it is better to bring one as the ones they are selling is an extra charge for you.  Of course, to maintain the cleanliness of the playground, food and drinks are not allowed.

Service.  When it is already your time, their attendant will call out the name of the kid and will ask if you will extend or not.  I think this is a kind gesture as the rate will not be per hour but will be the same as the discounted rate depending on your chosen time upon registration.  Practically, you would want to register for the shortest allowable time, and just extend based on your kid - whether you can make him go or not :)

Ambiance.  Since it is newly opened when we go there, it is still well-maintained and clean.  At the same time, we refuse to go there if a lot of children are already playing.

Available Toys.  There are a lot of available toys your kids (and adults) can enjoy.  I dreamed of having this kind of playground in our house - maybe someday, if God permits.

Indeed, my kids enjoyed the playground.  I had promised my daughter that we'll be back there some other time.  However, due to COVID-19, I am quite skeptical that, if we are back to normal, will these indoor playgrounds be the same again?  I mean, we, parents, might be afraid that the toys were contaminated and might bring virus to our children.  I don't know.  We may not be back to normal, but will be on a NEW normal.  But I am still hopeful, that, no matter what, the kids can still enjoy their childhood.

Amii TEA, Meycauayan, Bulacan

Having our online business, PrintHaus by Naomi; and considering the heavy traffic in Metro Manila, we always resort at having our raw materials and finished products delivered via Lalamove.  It is unfortunate that our town is not covered by the Lalamove service, we still have to travel to Meycauayan, which is six (6) towns away from us just to book their service.  On the brighter side, doing this is convenient enough rather than having to travel all the way to Quezon City.

Travel time from Quezon City to Meycauayan would take less than two (2) hours - sometimes even longer.  It is a bit long if we will just stay in our car and wait for the rider.  What we usually do then, is stay at Amii TEA, order our favorite Wintermelon Tea, and wait for the rider to come.

Amii TEA is located at Balikatan Brgy. Pandayan, Meycauayan, Bulacan.  It is situated at the ground floor of Jenmark Building.

Parking. They only have 2-3 slots for cars.  Nevertheless, most of the customers are having their drinks for take out.

Ambiance. It only has a short space but already good enough if you are just killing time.  As customers come and go for take out, it is not noisy inside.

Food. We love their Wintermelon and Cookies and Cream milk teas.

Value for Money.  They have this 1-Liter milk tea that only costs PhP 100.  A real great deal.

Service.   They do have a good service and are patient even if we (2 adults and 2 kids) will just order one (1) drink and stay for two (2) hours.  Thank you :)

Dinosaurs Island - Jurassic Jungle Safari

Part of the itinerary of my daughter's educational tour last November 24, 2017 was Dinosaurs Island
Dinosaurs Island is an animatronic theme park and museum that is designed to offer visitors a unique interactive learning experience of the dinosaurs ere with life size creatures.
It is situated in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga and offers attractions where guests will experience a one of a kind educational entertainment.
Attractions included in the park are:
  • Wonders of the World
  • Jurassic Jungle Safari
  • Unearth Museum - was unable to remember if this is already existing last 2017
  • Dino World of Fun
The park is open Mondays-Sundays, at 8:00AM to 6:00PM.  Ideally, it would be better to go there on weekdays to avoid the crowd; and be there with a full stomach.  Since it is an educational tour, we had our packed lunch and eat it at the tour bus. I believe there are not many options in their food court.

Published Rates are (as of April 2020):
  • PhP 350-Adult
  • PhP 300-Kids (16 years old below)
  • PhP 100-Jurassic Jungle Safari
  • PhP 100-7D Super Screen - I am not sure what is this though
  • PhP 100-Wonders of the World
  • PhP 50-Unearth Museum-Same with this one
  • PhP 50-Dino Ride
  • PhP 20-Dino Feeding
But since we are in an educational trip, I believe the rate was lower.  Check here for updated rates and promos.

Wonders of the World
This is a sort of outside museum where you can find miniature replicas of the wonders of the world.  But since the park boasts about its animatronics dinosaurs, this has just been a side trip - a queuing space before you can enter the park itself.  So at least you have somewhere to spend time taking photos while waiting for your turn.

Dinosaurs Island
Indeed, this was such a place to go, specially for children who love dinosaurs.  My daughter, 3 years old at that time, is a bit afraid of them because they do seem real.  Inside the island is the Dino Feeding where you will climb a steep stairs to feed a dinosaur a giant chicken leg.  Unfortunately, my daughter does not even want to go near - we climb up all the way just to go down after :)

Dino World of Fun
Payment here is already included in the park's entrance fee.  Children and children at heart will enjoy and get scared at the same time.  If your child (like my daughter) is not brave enough, better to be seated at a place where the dancing dinosaurs cannot reach you.

Jurassic Jungle Safari
Make your dinosaur experience complete by riding their train in this section.  You may not be afraid of these dinosaurs, but dinosaurs coming out of nowhere will increase your heart rates in no time.

Please subscribe to our channel

Overall, the park is a must-go for your little ones.  I hope we can bring our youngest there after the enhanced community quarantine.

Acacia Hotel Manila, Alabang, Muntinlupa

August of 2019, we were blessed to be able to have a quick staycation at Acacia Hotel Manila located at 5400 East Asia Drive corner Commerce Avenue, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City 1781.  It was just a short trip with my family and a family friend (who sponsored our stay as they have a free gift certificate).  They (our family friend) head on the hotel first while we dropped by near the area first (Yes, you guess it right, we delivered some orders nearby from our business) and head on there a little bit late at night already.

Acacia Hotel Manila is a Filipino five-star luxury hotel that is a stone's throw away from commercial and business centers. The hotel's 262 guestrooms, including 45 suites, are tastefully designed to suit guest's needs. Its wide aray of dining and entertainment options include a coffee shop, lobby lounge, a specialty restaurant and a bar located on the topmost floor. Event and meetings facilities includes an elegant Grand Ballroom and five function rooms. A swimming pool, spa, fitness center, business center and Executive Lounge are just some of the other amenities guests will enjoy.

We stayed at their Deluxe Room (connecting rooms) accommodation.  This 34 sq. m guestroom features a king-size bed or two single beds. Its cozy ambiance offers privacy and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle.  For us, we have the two single beds room.

This is the view from our room
At the back is the door to the other room
All rooms have:
  • 40" LCD TV with cable
  • Central air conditioning with individual temperature control
  • Electronic "Do Not Disturb" sign
  • Electronic safety deposit box
  • Full size executive desk
  • Fully marbled bathroom with separate shower and bathtub - Bubble Bath time for my daughter
  • Minibar
  • Refrigerator
  • Hairdryer
  • IDD telephone with bathroom extension
  • Iron and Ironing board
  • Message light on telephone
  • Sprinklers and smoke detectors
  • Wifi access
Our accommodation inclusions are:
  • buffet breakfast - children 5 years old and below is FREE of charge (good thing my daughter is still 5 that time, as child rate (6 to 12 years old) is at PhP605 nett)
  • welcome drinks
  • use of swimming pool and gym - but since we arrived late and will be checking out the next day, we were unable to check this amenity
  • shuttle service within Alabang - we were also not able to avail this one but they do have a Valet Parking
After breakfast, we try to roam around the hotel
This is their spacious lobby which has an access to the dining area

Their standard check-in and check-out time is 3:00PM and 11:00AM respectively.  This is the first hotel that I knew that have such standard times.  It is usually 2:00PM and 12:00NN.  We actually tried to request for at least an hour extension, but to no avail.  Funny, they would only allow one from the two connecting rooms to extend until 12.  So yes, thank you, but it is a bit ridiculous.
During check-out time, already a number of people are at the lobby (either checking in or checking out).  Good thing, their lobby is spacious enough for those waiting to be served.

Check-Out time

My Review:

  • Location - Excellent 9/10
  • Rooms - Excellent 10/10 - This only pertains to the room that we had
  • Cleanliness - Excellent 10/10 - As this is a new hotel, it is still maintained well
  • Value for Money - Good 7/10 - Because their rate is a bit high, but their check-in and check-out times is a bit late and a bit early
  • Comfort - Excellent 10/10 - As far as our staycation, we do have the quality rest that we needed
  • Breakfast - Very Good - 8/10
  • Overall - Excellent 9/10

I Love Milk Tea, Pulilan Branch

Indeed, milk tea shops has been popular in our country.  Despite the news about milk tea poisoning last 2015, it is now in the rise again.

One of the firsts milk tea that I had tasted was Winter Melon of Cha Time, and I can say that it is still my favorite one.

Here in Pulilan, a number of milk tea shops has been opening here and there.  But of all the shops available, I Love Milk Tea is our brand of choice.

Every now and then, they had been updating their wall display here.  It makes the shop goers to not get tired at always seeing the same thing.

Our queuing number.  We did not wait for too long.

Their ambiance is relaxing.  This is also the go-to of students.

We have tried different flavors before, but it was only Winter Melon tea that we love the most.

Privato Hotel Ortigas

When my wife and I decided to leave the corporate world and focus on our business and raising our children, we also see to it that we would not deprive ourselves, once in a while, leisure time and simply enjoy life.

Good thing is, with our business, we also somewhat have the flexibility to schedule this leisure time on off-peak days so we can surely enjoy without traffic and crowd problems.

It was end of May 2019 that we take time to have a short staycation at Privato Hotel Ortigas.

Privato Hotel Ortigas, is located at 706 Shaw Boulevard, Pasig City.  It is a 23-storey Italian-inspired business and lifestyle hotel in the Ortigas, Pasig block that features 177 rooms, 3 ballrooms, 2 conference rooms, a Rooftop Pool & Gym, and a Roof Deck Lounge.  It is strategically located right across the developing Capitol Commons and the Ortigas Central Business District.  It is in close proximity to main roads as well as major shopping malls and neighborhood restaurants.

It also opened up two new hotels at Quezon City (82 Scout Castor St., Tomas Morato, Quezon City) and Makati City (9745 Kamagong St., San Antonio, Makati City).  Though we have not been in those two new hotels yet - but will surely visit one of these days (when this Enhanced Community Quarantine is over).

Whenever we book our stay here, we always choose either 1 Bedroom Suite King Bed with Kitchen Non Smoking or Deluxe Room Two Queen Size Beds Non Smoking (we prefer the later as we want spacious bed).  It has a standard check-in and check-out time of 2:00pm and 12:00nn respectively.  Both bookings already include the following amenities:
  • Complimentary WIFI access - their WIFI is pretty strong
  • 1 Free parking slot per room - never did we experience problem in their parking, but it is a first come first served basis
  • LCD TV with cable programming - 1 Bedroom Suite has two LCD TVs
  • IDD and NDD phone
  • En suite toilet and shower
  • Individually controlled air-conditioning
  • In-room electronic safe
  • Electronic keycard entry system
  • Complimentary coffee and tea
  • Electric tea kettle
  • Refrigerator
  • Hair dryer
Upon check-in, a deposit fee of 1,000 is required.  And those that are considered children are 12 years old and below.

If you will just be on staycation, this hotel is a good choice.  Another plus factor for us, the hotel as LBC nearby - just in case we need to ship orders from our business.

For us we did not have the buffet breakfast since our children almost always have their good sleep whenever we are at hotels; thus, waking them up early in the morning to meet the 10am cut off is a bit rude for them :).  We do get buffet breakfast once in a while and I must say they do offer a wide variety of food that can be enjoyed by both adults and children.

What my daughter always long for whenever we have this sort of staycation is the hotel's pool, located on the 23rd floor.  It is exclusively available to hotel guests with the following schedule:
  • 7:00AM - 10:00PM (Tuesday - Sunday)
  • 2:00PM - 10:00PM (Monday)
Monday morning is their scheduled cleaning for the pool, so it is best to have a swim on Mondays and Tuesdays.  And since we almost always book on weekdays, we can swim with only a few (or sometimes, it is just us) people on the pool.

When this is all over, my kids deserve some leisure time like this :)

Room Rates (as of our check-in) are:
  • One Bedroom Suite (PhP 5,500.00)
  • Deluxe Double Queen (PhP 3,850.00)
You can visit their Facebook Page to get to know more about their promotions (if any).

Director's Club Cinema, The Podium

Every year (I think), SM Cinema is having a promo where kids below 4ft in height can watch a movie for free (with one accompanying adult).  We failed to get the chance to watch last 2018, but this year (2019), we finally had the chance.

Last day of the "Kids Watch for Free" promo, and last full show of the promo at the Directors Club Cinema, The Podium, we were able to reserve a seat to watch Frozen 2.  We paid less than PhP 1,000 inclusive of 2 bottled waters and 2 unlimited pop corns. My wife and I plus 2 kids for free.

Yes, we almost rented the whole cinema for ourselves :D

It was his first time to watch in a movie house

It was the first time for my youngest to watch in a movie house, and he is a little bit scared every time the movie house will be dark or has loud sounds - though he enjoyed the songs.  Was glad the he was able to have this experience - for FREE.

I hope there will be another promo of this kind this year - will definitely grab the chance again - as it is really worth it.  Thank you SM Cinema.

The River, Unli Pasta and Chicken Wings

Before year 2019 ends, we try out the unlimited pasta and chicken wings at The River, Pulilan, Bulacan.

We were not able to take a photo of our table that time.  But I have to say, the price is worth it for what we have eaten.  Price is 249/head (adult).  If my memory serves me right, my daughter is half the price while my son is free of charge.

Inclusions of the price are:

  • unlimited chicken (9 different flavors)
  • unlimited pasta (spaghetti or carbonara)
  • unlimited iced tea
I cannot remember how many servings we had back then, but we do enjoy the food.

We would probably be back there, after the Enhanced Community Quarantine.  Let us all pray that this COVID-19 pandemic already meet its end.

God bless the world!

Cuts 4 Tots Hair Salon, SM The Block, North EDSA

In preparation of the upcoming opening of classes (after the Christmas break), my children had their haircut at Cuts 4 Tots Hair Salon at SM The Block, North EDSA.  This is actually the first time of my son to have his haircut.  And as expected, we struggle in getting his haircut done.

Yes, he has a curly hair.

You wouldn't know the story behind before we get this haircut.

What we also like from the said salon was that the children can play before and after their haircut, so the payment is good enough.

Quantum, SM Pulilan

Every once in a while, whenever we have to ship orders via LBC at SM Pulilan, we allow our children to have a short arcade time at Quantum.  Here they are last February 11, 2020 having fun.

Would appreciate if you can subscribe to our YouTube channel too.

Thank you for watching!

SNR Pampanga

Last February 13, 2020, we have a meet-up transaction at SNR Pampanga for one of our clients (wedding invitation).  We are the one who suggested the place as it has been long since we last visited the place.

While waiting for the renewal of our membership card

Their push cart is really spacious and two kids can fit in

We limited our budget, as we really do not want to purchase a lot.  But when it comes to food, we are a little lax about it.

We just want to compare this with that of our cousin's product

Comparing those that we had bought here from those we had bought from Landers, we personally recommend those that we bought here at SNR.

Before heading home, we opted at buying their pizza (who wouldn't right?).  However, there is a long line, and the dining area is also full.  What we did is just bought the pizza for take out and have them eaten at the parking lot :)  So yeah, dining-wise, we prefer it at Landers.  Not sure for other stores though as we have only visited the Pampanga branch.

How about you?

Landers Balintawak

Way back 2016, we are already a member of Landers Superstore.  However, we failed to renew our membership due to several reasons.

Last February 27, 2020, we finally had the chance to be back at the said store, Balintawak branch.  We renewed our membership card for around PhP 700 (if my memory serves me right).  We just roam around as we really do not intend to buy anything - we really just want their pizza :)

We really prefer the SNR push cart for it fits both my daughter and son. Anyhow, the cart is spaceious enough.
Honestly, we just squeeze in a little fun in our daily lives to be here at Landers.  We use the fact that we need to Lalamove at most 3 orders on the same day - so have a little fun while booking the service.

While waiting for the pizza

We don't really take as much photos as before, because, we are savoring the moment with our eyes.  Hence, no photo of the pizza, sadly.

Personal opinion, we prefer the items of SNR instead of Landers.  On the other hand, we find the dine-in experience much better at Landers instead of SNR. :)

Baguio City Part 1

After nine (9) years, I was finally able to visit Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines, again.

We left home, together with our cousin, Mark - who generously been our driver (using his own car :D) at around 12 midnight of November 18, 2019. We arrived at Baguio City at around 5:00 in the morning or earlier. We headed straight to the hotel (Burnham Hill by RLA) to drop our things and start the tour.

First stop - The Mansion and Wright Park.

The Mansion

Wright Park

Since it was very early in the morning, there are also Zumba activity at the Wright Park. Also, we took advantage of the weather to roam around. What else can you ask for walking in the Baguio weather at this early? It is very relaxing.

Nearby is the Mines View Park. It is really a good idea to head on to these places early. No need to squeeze in yourself to fellow travelers. And the view - magnificent as ever. Thank you Lord for this gift of nature.

My kids also got to experience for the first time, riding a horse (though it is only for photo ops).

What else is more joyful than seeing your kids' genuine smiles? :)

We headed back to our hotel for the sleep we deprived ourselves of earlier.

Will end the post here and have the rest posted in parts :) Thank you for reading my blog.
