The 33rd Manila International Book Fair - September 2012

The 33rd Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) is here again friends. I'm so excited for this yearly event. It captured the hearts of book-loving Filipinos and become the most awaited event of the year for many of us. During the last year event, it is said that it was attended by more than eighty five thousand people visiting around 300 exhibitors showcasing thousands of books. This year, MIBF is scheduled on September 12-16, from 10:00am to 8:00pm at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Aside from thousands of book exhibits from local and foreign exhibitors, there are also scheduled special co-located events such as book launching, writers meetings, and seminars. The MIBF also offers wide variety of titles, hard-to-find books, and exhibits books with big discounts. As for me, I love to visit Christian exhibitors and DZAS booth everytime I attend MIBF. Same as before, all book titles from Church Strengthening Ministry (CSM) are all prized at Php100 each. ...

Unlidata from Smart

It is truly a big help for me having this unlidata plan from Smart. I was able to use my free phone to its maximum capability. The thing I love the most with unlidata plan is that I am now able to listen, anywhere and anytime, to my favorite radio station using tune-in Radio and Radio Philippines from App store and Play Store. Even while working, I can now keep my radio in the background. It is truly a big help for me as an avid listener to have such mobile apps. Here are some screen shots from my cp.

Starbucks for breaktime

This morning I attended product presentation conducted by Emerson Network Power. The event was successful and very informative in engineering solutions specially to energy transmission business. The event was focused on the NextGEN Infrastructure by Emerson Network Power. The 3-hour event discussed some topics like Introduction to Emerson Nerwork Power, NextGen Infrastructure Solutions, UtilitySure Electric Power, Solutions for Industrial Power, Data Center Infrastructure Management Solutions, and Facilities Monitoring System Solutions. It is a good thing that the presentation is interactive presentation which allows participants to raised questions and clarifications even in the middle of discussions. To encourage participants to actively participate in the discussion and focus on the topics  being discussed, they offered some snacks (Starbucks mocha frap and beef sandwich) and I'm sharing it with you friends!

Smart Mobile Internet Speed

Finally, after two weeks of waiting, I was able to get hold of my new Samsung Galaxy SIII from Smart.  I avail of their unlimited data Plan 2000.  Well, the internet speed is kinda slow inside our house, so I have to connect to our Globelines DSL (with speed of up to 2mbps).  But, the below image shows my Smart Mobile Internet speed when traveling in Quezon City.  So, I guess this birthday gift is all worth it :) Note: The screen capture above is taken from my iPod that connects to the internet shared by my SIII Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6

Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day at SM Baliuag: Bulakan ng mga Bayani!

After spending an overnight stay at 8 Waves waterpark and hotel, we headed to SM Baliug to buy a barbie school bag for my niece Stephanie. Upon entering, a Sale signage caught my attention: June 9-12 is Freedom Sale. I also notice an exhibit in the event center dubbed as Bulakan ng mga Bayani, in commemoration of Phil-Spanish Friendship day. I find it very interesting as it is presented thru photographs that resembles the ones taken during that era. I learned new historical facts such as what happened in Baler Church, and more. The exhibit is open from June 11-16, 2012. I believe that this kind of exhibit would be beneficial not only to students to pass history subject, but also to the old ones who perhaps forget what our forefathers fight for. Here are some photos to share with you.
