All Set for Game 3 of the 2012 PBA Governor's Cup Finals (BMEG vs ROS)

After indulging to an Eat-All-You-Can lunch buffet at Tong Yang, SM Megamall Atrium to celebrate my 31st birthday; my wife and I proceed to SM Customer Service to purchase tickets for Friday's game. Fortunately, we were able to grab Patron seats at P580.00.

I hope to extend my birthday celebration on Friday, together with my wife and my sisters Lyn and Leah.  Therefore, this is a must win for BMEG Llamados.  Let's Go BMEG!

DAL vs BGK at the Araneta Coliseum

Guilty as I am, I celebrated Mother's Day at the Araneta Coliseum to watch PBA live. It was a game between Air 21 Express and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters for Game 1 and Derby Ace Llamados (DAL) against Barangay Ginebra Kings for the main event.

Despite hearing some 'not so professional fans' within the area I'm at, I still enjoyed the game; most specially because DAL wins it with James Yap as the Best Player of the Game.

I really have nothing to share, but the players just kept me holding on to my seat with their stunts and amazing moves. Particularly that of Raffy Reavis' alley-oop dunk from Rico Maierhofer.

And since it's a holiday on the following day, my girl and I took the rare opportunity of having pictures with the PBA stars.

Enjoy the pictures as I enjoyed them!

South Gate, Araneta Coliseum

I was a lucky man last Sunday for my girl treated me with Upper A Finals Tickets for the Game 3 of the Best of Seven Finals Series between Purefoods TJ Giants and Alaska Aces. And I was even more luckier for the Giants won the game, 3-0 [Now they already bag the championship crown with a sweet sweep of 4-0]. At the same sense, it was a blessing in disguise that my girl's friend won't be able to make it allowing me to call my sister back home to witness the game live. She's a fan of the Giants back in the Alvin Patrimonio days.

Right after the game, we took the rare chance of having my sister with me to wait for The Captain at the South Gate of the Araneta Coliseum. It is the gate where the PBA cagers get out and where the fans get the chance to have a photo op and an autograph signing too. [So, next time you watch PBA and would love to see your idols, try your luck at the South Gate. Take note however, that you have to wait for half an hour or so. But it's worth the wait after all.]

Here are my pictures with the PBA stars for that night.

Hoop For Life at Caruncho Gym, Pasig City

I have been to Pasig Sports Complex, Caruncho Gym (beside Pasig City Hall) last Friday to watch the Basketball for Charity event called Hoop for Life by the Real Life Foundation. It was attended by a number of PBA Players (mostly FilAms).

The said charity is headed by Rob Johnson, a former BGK cager, who is celebrating his birthday. It was his way of paying forward the blessings that he had received. Boxing Champ "Nonito Donaire" attended the event as well, and even played basketball. But he had to leave after the 1st half. Nonetheless, he earned a couple of baskets or so.

At halftime, City Councilor Atoy Co, a PBA legend, had been welcomed and was one of the judges, alongside with Donita Rose in the slum dunk competition between Kelly Williams (2008 Slum Dunk Champ) and Gabe Norwood (2009 Slum Dunk Champ). The competition could have been much wonderful if KG Canaleta (2007 Slum Dunk Champ) was there too. Anyway, Williams dominated the competition and even garnered a perfect 10 in one of his stunts. There had been a game for fans played as well, plus a raffle. I was not lucky enough to win any, but my girl did.

At the end of the game, the White Team (Kelly Williams, Nick Belasco, Chris Pacana, Jimmy Alapag, and others) won the game. Johnson was very grateful for the event had been a successful one. And I am equally grateful to have a chance to take pictures with these PBA cagers.
